释义	BBC EnglishBBC英语。指BBC新闻播音员和主持人的口音。语言学上称为标准发音（Received Pronunciation，简称RP）。也有学者认为标准发音的说法已经过时，应以BBC英语取代。标准发音源于英格兰南部受过良好教育者的口音，为英国的公学和牛津、剑桥大学采用，代表操该口音者具有较高的社会地位。BBC一度大力推行标准英语发音，但在20世纪50年代开始使用非标准发音的播音员。这种趋势目前在BBC地方台节目中尤为明显。标准发音在英语作为外语的教学中依然占主导地位。
