释义	hippy嬉皮士，亦作hippy。20世纪六七十年代西方反传统的年轻人。美国加利福尼亚州的旧金山是他们的文化中心。hippie源于形容词hip（时髦的），后者用于形容20世纪50年代垮掉的一代（Beat Generation）成员。为了表示和传统道德习俗格格不入，嬉皮士常常身着奇装异服、留长发、性生活放纵，甚至吸毒。他们常常多人混居，称为公社（commune）。嬉皮士反对越战，相信爱与和平能够改变世界，常被称为“花童”（flower children， → flower power ）。
